MARYLAND STATE POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING A MONDAY NIGHT FATAL SHOOTING IN SALISBURY, MARYLAND

Wicomico County, Maryland - Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Salisbury, Maryland, which left one person dead and another injured.   


The incident occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. when Troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack were dispatched to a shooting on West Road in Salisbury, Maryland. When they arrived, they discovered the first victim, 32-year-old Tevin Mumford, a Salisbury, Maryland resident suffering from a gunshot wound. Mumford was transported to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional, where he later succumbed to his injuries.


Another individual, 33-year-old Ekoye Emmanuel Spates, also of Salisbury, Maryland, was also injured and taken to TidalHealth by a good Samaritan. He was later transferred to Christiana Care Christiana Hospital in Delaware for further treatment.


The Homicide Unit of the Maryland State Police has taken the lead in this investigation, working diligently to uncover the truth behind this tragic event.
