MARYLAND STATE FIRE MARSHAL'S OFFICE IS INVESTIGATING A CAROLINE COUNTY OVERNIGHT FIRE

Caroline County, MD - A fire occurred on April 19, 2025, at a two-story, single-family residence located on Greensboro Road in Caroline County, Maryland. The fire was reported by a passerby at approximately 11:48 P.M. and was brought under control after 90 minutes of intensive firefighting efforts.
The Greensboro Volunteer Fire Company, the primary responding department, along with several assisting agencies, dispatched around 60 firefighters to battle the fire.
The fire caused an estimated structural loss of $110,000, along with an additional $15,000 in damages to the home's contents.
Currently, the cause of the fire is under investigation, with the area of origin identified as the interior of the property.
