Ocean Pines, MD - On June 21, 2024, an Ocean Pines resident reported a burglary in her home, allegedly committed by an ex-boyfriend, Richard Lehman Jr.

The initial investigation revealed that Lehman entered his ex-girlfriend's house uninvited during the early morning hours of June 20, 2024. Without disturbing the resident, he allegedly took a photo of her while she was asleep. The incident only came to light the next day when the victim saw her photograph on Lehman's social media page.

The report further indicates that Lehman was not done with his unsolicited visits. He returned to the victim's house later that day.

This time, his actions were overt as he knocked on the door before entering. He was reportedly searching for the victim's new boyfriend.

According to the victim, Lehman physically assaulted her when she tried to make him leave her residence.

A warrant was issued for Lehman who was located and arrested on June 23, 2024. Following a preliminary hearing in front of the District Court Commissioner, he was held without bond in the Worcester County Detention Center. He now awaits a court appearance before a District Court Judge.
