MADISON HOME DAMAGED BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON FIRE
Madison, MD - On August 21, 2024, around noon, the Madison Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a two-story, wood-framed dwelling on Taylors Island Road in Madison, Maryland.
A passerby discovered the fire, which seemed to have originated from the house's rear deck. Within 45 minutes, the brave team of 45 firefighters from the Madison Volunteer Fire Department put the fire under control.
The fire caused an estimated loss of $30,000 to the structure and $10,000 to the home's contents. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
