LINKWOOD FIRE DESTROYS SHED
Linkwood, MD - On April 10, 2024, at around 4:54 PM, a fire broke out in the 3600 block of Linkwood Drive in Linkwood, Maryland. The fire was contained to a 10x16 shed.
The fire was first noticed by a neighbor, who promptly alerted the authorities. The Linkwood-Salem Volunteer Fire Company was the primary responding unit to the scene and they were able to get the fire under control in just 10 minutes, preventing any potential spread to adjacent properties.
A team of eighteen firefighters worked to douse the flames. The estimated loss due to the fire is around $30,000 - $10,000 for the shed structure and an additional $20,000 for the contents within.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
