LAW ENFORCEMENT IS INVESTIGATING A LATE NIGHT SHOOTING THAT LEFT 71 YEAR OLD MAN AND 68 YEAR OLD MAN WITH NON-LIFE THREATENING INJURIES

Denton, MD - On February 6, 2025, a shooting was reported in the 28000 block of Ruritan Road in Denton, Caroline County, Maryland. Deputies responded promptly to the distress call around 12:25 AM.


Upon their arrival at the crime scene, they found a 71-year-old man with severe back and head injuries from a shotgun, as well as a 68-year-old man with a compound fracture in his left ankle. Fortunately, both victims' injuries were assessed as non-life threatening.


After securing the scene, both victims were transported to Kent General Hospital for immediate medical attention. As of now, hospital officials have not provided any further updates on their current health conditions.


The Caroline County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division is actively investigating the incident. Authorities are working to piece together the evidence and uncover the sequence of events that led to this unfortunate incident.
