LAW ENFORCEMENT INVESTIGATING ARMED ROBBERY AT DOLLAR GENERAL IN PITTSVILLE, MARYLAND
Pittsville, MD: Law enforcement is investigating an armed robbery that recently occurred at the Dollar General Store in Pittsville on November 19, 2024.
The suspect, identified as Makayla Marshall, 22, allegedly entered the store in a full-face mask and shopped for a few items before approaching the register.
Marshall then informed the clerk that was working behind the counter that she was armed and demanded all the cash from the register.
She demanded that the money be placed into a shopping bag, which she obtained from the store.
The terrified clerk complied, and the suspect reportedly left the scene on foot. The investigation was handed over to the Pittsville Police Department.
Using video surveillance footage from nearby businesses, officers were able to trace the suspect from the Dollar General store to her apartment within the Green Meadows Apartment complex.
Officers obtained a search warrant for Marshall's apartment, and an arrest warrant charging Marshall with Armed Robbery, Robbery, First and Second-Degree Assault, and Theft has been issued.
As it stands, Marshall is still at large, and her location is unknown. She is considered armed and dangerous! Marshall is a black female, 22 years old, and is known to frequent Delmar and Berlin, Md. Marshall drives a black 2009 Honda Accord with Maryland registration #7GK5558.
The authorities urge anyone with information on Marshall's whereabouts to contact law enforcement immediately.
