Laurel, DE - The Laurel School District has addressed a legal situation involving Colin Larrimore, a former district employee and son of Superintendent Dr. Shawn Larrimore.
On June 12, 2024, the school district received notification from law enforcement about the initiation of legal proceedings against Mr. Larrimore. The 21-year-old is accused of very serious crimes concerning the possession of illegal digital materials.
Immediately after learning about the situation from law enforcement, the district informed the Department of Education of the incident.
The next day, June 13, 2024, Mr. Larrimore resigned from the Laurel School District.

Mr. Larrimore's role in the district was confined solely to the Information Technology (IT) department. Preliminary investigations reveal that his alleged illegal actions were enacted purely through digital means, employing his personal cell phone.
