JET SKI ACCIDENT RESULTS IN TWO PEOPLE INJURED INCLUDING OCEAN CITY POLICE OFFICER

Ocean City, MD-A dramatic rescue operation unfolded on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., after a jet ski incident in the area of the Route 90 bridge.


A woman was found in the water in cardiac arrest, after which quick-thinking bystanders initiated CPR. Ocean City Paramedics were on the scene quickly and implemented additional critical life-saving measures.


This incident was initially posted on the Eastern Shore Undercover social media pages as a "drowning."


As a result of the incident, paramedics from the Ocean City Fire Department transported an injured Ocean City police officer to the hospital.


The jet ski passenger and the officer were taken to Tidal Health Peninsula Regional for further medical attention.


The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police has taken the lead on the investigation into the incident and the events leading up to the patient's discovery in the water.
