INVESTIGATION LEADS TO SUBJECT BEING CHARGED WITH NON-COMPLIANCE OF SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

Caroline County, MD - In October 2024, the Criminal Investigation Division embarked on a probe into Tarbarie L. Johnson, a registered sexual offender, for non-compliance to the registration requirements mandated by the State of Maryland.


Johnson is a Tier III offender who is subject to the authority of the Caroline County Sheriff's Office Sex Offender Registry Division in Maryland.


State regulations require Johnson to report any changes in his address, vehicle, and electronic information, but the authorities found him in violation of these mandates.


The investigation led to Johnson's arrest on November 7, 2024. He was served with an active warrant from the Caroline County District Court for failing to update his registration details.


Furthermore, on November 8, Johnson was presented with an additional warrant for similar violations.


Johnson was handed over to the Caroline County Detention Center, where he is currently held without bond.
