HIT AND RUN CRASH BEING INVESTIGATED BY WICOMICO COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE

Salisbury, MD - On August 15, 2024, at 8:26 pm, Deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, Maryland State Troopers, and EMS units were dispatched to Walston Switch Road, north of Shavox Road, for a serious motor vehicle crash. 

Preliminary investigation reveals that a juvenile male was operating a skateboard along the roadway in the 6000 block of Walston Switch Road, at which point in time he was struck by a motor vehicle.  The suspect vehicle left the scene.

The victim was flown to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries.  The collision is being investigated by the Sheriff's Office Collision Reconstruction Unit.
