GOOD SPORTS AWARDS HONORS WICOMICO'S PLAYERS AND COACHES
Salisbury, MD - On February 13, the seventh annual Good Sports Awards took place, recognizing 20 youth-based sports organizations for their exceptional contributions to community sports. This initiative, organized by the Wicomico County Recreation, Parks & Tourism department, aims to honor individuals who embody the four core values of youth sports: fun, community, sportsmanship, and skill development.
Each invited organization recognized one youth player and one coach who exemplified these core values. The awards were sponsored by Robinson's and included the Sportsmanship Awards and the Outstanding Coach Awards.
The ceremony was held at the Wicomico Civic Center, featuring Sherman Wood as the keynote speaker and Tim Nolan, sports director for the Delmarva Sports Network, as the emcee.
