Georgetown, DE - Delaware State Police have arrested and charged a 42-year-old man on charges of attempted murder. The Delaware State Police have charged Keith Morrison following an altercation that took place in the early hours of April 20, 2025, at a residence on the 27000 block of Paradise Street in Georgetown, Delaware.

Emergency services responded to the scene around 2:52 a.m. after receiving reports of a woman in distress. Upon arrival, they found a 44-year-old woman with severe burns covering a significant portion of her body. She was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where she is currently in critical condition.

Investigations conducted by the Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit and the Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office suggest that the incident stemmed from an argument between Morrison and the victim, who were in a relationship.

During the dispute, it is alleged that Morrison doused the woman with an unidentified liquid and set her on fire before fleeing the scene on foot.

Law enforcement officials later apprehended Morrison in a nearby field. He was taken into custody without resistance and charged with attempted murder and arson.

Morrison has since been arraigned and is currently held at the Sussex Correctional Institution under a $1,000,000 cash bond.
