FOUR SUSPECTS CHARGED IN ACCOMACK COUNTY HOMICIDE CASE

Accomack County, VA - On February 28, 2025, indictments were issued against four men in connection with a homicide that occurred in Accomack County, Virginia, according to Sheriff W. Todd Wessells.
The Incident
On February 13, 2024, at approximately 8:32 p.m., the Accomack County Sheriff's Office received a report of shots fired in Onancock, Virginia.
Deputies responded to the 26000 block of Stumpy Lane, where they discovered an unresponsive male suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim, identified as Rashaun Anthony Brown, 26, of Onancock, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Norfolk Medical Examiner ruled the manner of death a homicide, prompting an extensive investigation by local and federal authorities.
Arrests and Charges
On March 18, 2025, the following individuals were arrested and charged in connection with the case:
- Tyvon Lyncurtis Smith, 32, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, was charged with:
- First Degree Murder
- Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder
- Use of a Firearm in Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Smith is currently incarcerated at the Accomack County Jail with bail denied.
- Christopher Clovis-Weathers Monfiston, 32, of Chesapeake, Virginia, was charged with:
- First Degree Murder
- Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder
- Use of a Firearm in Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Monfiston is being held at the Accomack County Jail with bail denied.
- Kriq Nygee Weathers, 27, of Parksley, Virginia, was charged with:
- First Degree Murder
- Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder
- Use of a Firearm in Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Weathers is incarcerated in the Virginia Beach City Jail, with bail denied.
- Taquan Lee Bell, 26, of Accomac, Virginia, was charged with:
- First Degree Murder
- Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder
- Accessory After the Fact
- Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony
Bell is incarcerated at the Accomack County Jail, with bail denied.
