FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND TO A SUNDAY EVENING MOBILE HOME FIRE ON ST. LUKES ROAD

Wicomico County, MD - On the evening of April 6, 2025, a residential structure fire occurred in a single-wide mobile home on St. Lukes Road in Salisbury, Maryland.
The Fruitland Volunteer Fire Department responded, dispatching 30 firefighters from their department, along with many assisting agencies, who arrived shortly after the incident was reported. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes.
The mobile home sustained an estimated $15,000 in damage, along with an additional loss of $5,000 in personal belongings.
Fortunately, the smoke alarms in the home were activated, alerting the residents to the fire. It is believed that the fire originated on the rear deck of the mobile home; however, the preliminary cause is still under investigation.
