FIRE MARSHALS OFFICE INVESTIGATING VEHICLE FIRE ON MARSH CREEK ROAD
Preston, MD - On March 11, 2024, at approximately 2:51 PM, a fire occurred in the 21000 block of Marsh Creek Road in Preston, Caroline County, Maryland. The flames engulfed a 2008 Mini Cooper, causing estimated damages of $10,000 to the vehicle.
The Preston Volunteer Fire Company responded to the fire. A total of 24 firefighters from the department were deployed for the task, and they successfully brought the fire under control within 20 minutes.
Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported from the incident.
The residence's occupant was the first to discover the fire. The area of origin of the fire is still under investigation. The preliminary cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and the investigation is ongoing.
