FIRE MARSHAL'S OFFICE INVESTIGATING GREENSBORO RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE

Greensboro, MD-On October 12, 2024, at around 9:09 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at a single-family residence in the 11900 block of Greensboro Road in Caroline County, Maryland.


The Greensboro Volunteer Fire Company was alerted with a single alarm and responded with 25 firefighters, who controlled the fire in 19 minutes.


The incident took a significant toll, leaving the homeowners with an estimated $40,000 loss.


The initial investigation suggests the fire originated from the residence's exterior and points toward a preliminary cause of incendiary nature.
