FIRE DAMAGES MOBILE HOME IN EASTON MARYLAND

Talbot County, Maryland-The Easton Volunteer Fire Department and assisting agencies were dispatched to the 8600 block of Swann Haven Road in Easton, Maryland, for a mobile home fire at approximately 10:29 A.M. on Monday, November 11, 2024. This incident was initially posted on the Eastern Shore Undercover social media pages.


A total of 20 brave firefighters responded and were able to control the fire within 14 minutes. Their swift response ensured that the fire did not spread to neighboring properties, averting what could have been a more extensive disaster.


While the swift emergency response ensured the safety of the residents, there was still a structural loss, estimated at $20,000, and an additional loss of contents pegged at $1,500.


Preliminary investigations into the unfortunate event have traced the fire's origin to underneath the mobile home. The cause, as determined by the fire department, appears to be an unspecified electrical failure underneath the residence.
