EARLY MORNING CRASH IN OCEAN PINES CLAIMS THE LIFE OF SALISBURY MAN

Worcester County, MD - On the morning of November 16, 2024, at approximately 8:43 AM, a fatal motor vehicle collision occurred on Ocean Parkway, between Briarcrest Drive and Beaconhill Road in Ocean Pines, Maryland.

A vehicle driven by William R. Lewis Jr., a Parsonsburg, Maryland resident, went off the right side of the road and consequently struck an individual in front of 47 Ocean Parkway in Ocean Pines, Maryland.

The individual who was struck tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. That individual has been identified as Ramon Ramirez Castillo, a 35-year-old resident of Salisbury, Maryland.

In an effort to further examine the circumstances surrounding the accident, both the Worcester County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police were called to the scene to provide assistance. The investigation surrounding the tragic accident is underway, with Maryland State Police leading the reconstruction.
