DWELLING FIRE IN KENT COUNTY RESULTS IN $30,000 IN DAMAGES

Rock Hall, MD - A single-alarm fire broke out at a two-story, wood-frame, single-family dwelling located in the 5400 block of Eastern Neck Road in Rock Hall, Kent County, Maryland.


The fire inflicted an estimated $30,000 in damage to the structure and its contents.


The incident, reported at approximately 6:30 PM, was discovered by the homeowner. The fire originated in the interior first-floor kitchen, with preliminary investigations indicating the cause as accidental due to unattended cooking.


The Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene, deploying 26 firefighters to combat the blaze. The fire was brought under control in approximately one hour.


While the property sustained significant damage, the response efforts were effective in preventing further destruction.


An adult male at the residence was evaluated and treated on-site for a minor burn injury. There were no additional injuries or fatalities reported.
