DOVER WOMAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING RECKLESS DRIVING INCIDENT IN SEAFORD

Seaford, DE - The Delaware State Police arrested Linzy Best, 32, of Dover, Delaware, for reckless endangerment and DUI following an incident in Seaford, Delaware.
On April 16, 2025, at approximately 5:05 p.m., troopers responded to reports of a car driving through a field on Chapel Branch Road. Upon arrival, they found a black Chevrolet Camaro driving erratically behind a residence.
The vehicle came dangerously close to colliding with three individuals, including two children, who were walking in the field. The situation escalated when the Camaro nearly struck the victims a second time as they sought refuge in their home.
The driver, Linzy Best, fled the scene on foot after an adult victim managed to take the car keys away from her. Troopers later located Best hiding in a nearby shed.
Upon contact, she showed several signs of impairment and refused to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. After resisting arrest, she was ultimately taken into custody and placed under arrest.
Best was taken to Troop 5, where she was charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $36,300 cash bond.
- Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
- Reckless Endangering 1st Degree (Felony) - 3 counts
- Resisting Arrest
- Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree
