DELAWARE WOMAN USES TASER TO DEFEND HERSELF FROM ATTACKER IN GEORGETOWN

Sussex County, DE - The Delaware State Police are diligently working to shed light on an assault that took place on Sandhill Road in Georgetown, Delaware. This incident transpired on the night of October 30, 2024.


Authorities were alerted to the incident when they were notified to attend to an assault case at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. As per the investigation, a woman had been pulling into her driveway in the 18000 block of Sandhill Road in Georgetown, Delaware, at which point in time she noticed a vehicle parked on the side of the road. When she went over to check on the vehicle, an unidentified male attacked her.


Thankfully, the woman was able to defend herself using a flashlight taser, which caused the attacker to flee. She suffered minor injuries in the incident.


The Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit is spearheading the investigation into the incident. They're calling on people who may have witnessed it or have any pertinent information that could assist in their investigation.
