DELAWARE STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING IN LEWES

Lewes, DE - The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred in Lewes earlier this week. Authorities responded on April 16, 2025, to reports of a shooting that took place the previous evening, between 8:00 and 10:00 p.m., in the 30000 block of Pinetown Road.


During the incident, an unidentified individual fired a weapon, striking both a residence and a vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The motives behind the suspect's actions remain unclear as the investigation continues.


The Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit is leading the inquiry. They are asking for assistance from the public in identifying the suspect. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact Detective J. Mitchell at (302) 752-3807.
