DELAWARE STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE FATAL MILLSBORO CRASH
Millsboro, DE - On the morning of February 7, 2024, the Delaware State Police were dispatched to a tragic car crash that took the life of a Laurel, Delaware woman.
Reports reveal that the accident took place at around 6:31 AM, involving a 1994 Suzuki Cappuccino and a 2008 Ford Taurus on Shiloh Church Road, near Hardscrabble Road in Millsboro, Delaware.
The Suzuki was headed eastbound on Shiloh Church Road, moving towards Hardscrabble Road, while the Ford was journeying westbound when the catastrophic event happened. The Suzuki turned left onto an access road and into the path of the ongoing Taurus.
The violent collision resulted in the front of the Taurus impacting the side of the Suzuki, causing severe damage and injuries.
Tragically, the Suzuki driver, a 35-year-old woman from Laurel, Delaware, succumbed to her injuries at an area hospital. The release of her identity is being held until the family and relatives receive the heartbreaking news.
Concurrently, the 28-year-old male driver of the Ford Taurus, a resident of Salisbury, Maryland, escaped the horrific incident with minor injuries. He declined any medical treatment at the scene.
In the aftermath of the fatal event, Shiloh Church Road was temporarily closed for approximately three hours to allow a thorough examination of the accident site. During this time, investigators began the challenging task of piecing together the series of events that ultimately led to this tragic incident.
