DELAWARE STATE POLICE DETECTIVES ARREST LEWES MAN FOR FELONY THEFT
Lewes, DE - Delaware State Police have arrested William Rodenbaugh of Lewes, Delaware, and charged him with felony theft and attempted theft from vehicles in the Angola area.
On June 11, 2024, Delaware State troopers began investigating a theft and attempted theft from vehicles in the Angola area near Lewes, Delaware. During the investigation, troopers learned that an unknown suspect had gone through vehicles in the neighborhoods of Angola Beach and Estates, Bayridge Crossing, and The Cove between June 11 and June 14 where money had been stolen.
Troopers also learned that the suspect had trespassed on several properties in those neighborhoods.
Through investigative means, detectives identified William Rodenbaugh as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
On July 5, 2024, detectives arrested Rodenbaugh. He was taken to Troop 4, charged with the crimes listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2, and released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
However, he was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on an existing capias warrant.
