DELAWARE STATE POLICE ARREST MAN IN STOLEN CHURCH VAN
Seaford, Delaware-On Friday, April 19, 2024, at approximately 1:52 AM, 18-year-old Ronald Alberts allegedly stole a church van. A state trooper noticed a white Dodge passenger van swerving on Concord Road near Church Road in Seaford, DE.
After stopping the vehicle on Concord Pond Road, the trooper found Alberts at the wheel. A computer check revealed that the van was registered to a local church.
Following confirmation from church representatives that the van had indeed been stolen from their parking lot, Alberts was taken into custody.
He was transported to Troop 5, where he was charged and arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7.
Alberts was released on a $2,400 unsecured bond after concluding the legal proceedings.
Alberts was charged with the following:
- Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Felony)
- Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree
- Driving without a Valid License
- Numerous Traffic Offenses
