DELAWARE STATE POLICE ARREST MAN FROM STALKING AND HARASSMENT IN LEWES
Sussex County, DE - The Delaware State Police arrested 39-year-old Daniel Wilkowski from Lewes, Delaware, last month for charges connected to stalking and harassment.
The case was initiated when a female victim, her identity kept confidential for her protection, reached out to law enforcement on December 26, 2024. She made a formal report of ongoing harassment and stalking incidents occurring throughout December in Lewes, Delaware. The ensuing investigation led troopers to discover a series of disturbing emails sent by Wilkowski to the victim.
Over the span of a single week in December, the victim reported receiving over 40 unwanted and sexually explicit emails from Wilkowski. The nature and volume of these unwarranted communications caused substantial concern and distress to the victim, leading troopers to procure an arrest warrant for Wilkowski.
Despite several attempts to apprehend him soon after, his arrest was not immediate. On January 4, 2025, Wilkowski was eventually located by the Milton Police Department during an unrelated investigation and was consequently taken into custody.
Following his arrest, Wilkowski was formally charged with felony stalking and sexual harassment.
His arraignment followed in Justice of the Peace Court 3, after which Wilkowski was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution. The bond for his release was set to a secured amount of $1,100.
