DELAWARE STATE POLICE ARREST MAN FOR 5TH DUI
Seaford, DE - The Delaware State Police have arrested Philip Swetz for his 5th offense, felony DUI. The incident took place on the morning of March 28, 2024.
Responding to an early morning crash on Kaye Road near Seaford, Delaware, troopers found Swetz showing signs of impairment.
Swetz was taken to a local hospital due to an unrelated health issue and subsequently underwent Standardized Field Sobriety Tests administered by a trooper. Following his discharge from the hospital, Swetz was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
A background check revealed that Swetz has four prior DUI-related convictions. Following his arrest, he was processed at Troop 5, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $10,150 secured bond.
