DELAWARE STATE POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING EARLY MORNING ASSAULT IN GEORGETOWN

Georgetown, DE - The Delaware State Police are currently investigating an assault, which occurred on April 21, 2025, around 4:56 a.m. in the 27000 block of Paradise Street in Georgetown, Delaware.


According to initial reports, an unidentified male suspect was seen entering unsecured vehicles in the area. During the commotion, a group of three residents confronted him, resulting in a violent altercation.


The suspect, described as an unknown Hispanic male approximately 5'10" tall, was wearing dark clothing and white Nike sneakers.


The suspect used a broken bottle during the assault and two of the residents sustained injuries. A 39-year-old man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, while a 34-year-old man suffered minor injuries.


The suspect managed to escape in a white Chevrolet van, heading eastbound on Homestead Road. The investigation is ongoing, and detectives from the Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
