DELAWARE MAN ARRESTED FOR HIS 5TH OFFENSE FELONY DUI
Bridgeville, DE - After another reckless decision, Glen Sample, a 59-year-old local of Bridgeville, Delaware, has once again found himself on the wrong side of the law with a 5th offense felony DUI.
On December 4, 2024, at around 1:37 a.m., a Delaware State Trooper detected a Nissan Maxima driving westbound at a high rate of speed on Seashore Highway near Wilson Hill Road in Bridgeville, Delaware.
The Trooper promptly pulled the vehicle over. Sample was behind the wheel and exhibited clear signs of impairment during the initial interaction.
The officer administered Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which Sample failed. Subsequent background checks revealed a history of run-ins with the law. Sample's record held an alarming four previous DUI-related convictions, and he was driving on a suspended license.
Following the arrest, Sample was transported to Troop 5 where he was charged and arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7. Despite his serial offenses, Sample was released on a $6,150 unsecured bond.
