COUPLE IN CAMBRIDGE ARRESTED FOR DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cambridge, MD - On May 10, 2024, at approximately 3:45 pm, Cambridge Police responded to the 700 block of Foxtail Drive in Cambridge, Maryland, for an assault. 

Two individuals were identified at the scene as Davon Maurice Young, a 34-year-old man, and Colleen Donea Randall, a 44-year-old woman, both residents of Cambridge, MD. Both appeared to be involved in the incident and showed signs of injury.

The officers learned that the confrontation began with an argument, with Young allegedly accusing Randall of being unfaithful. The dispute escalated to a physical level when Young reportedly assaulted Randall. In response, Randall retrieved a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Young in the buttock. 

During the altercation, Randall suffered a laceration to her neck, while Young sustained a bloody nose. Both individuals were arrested and taken to the Cambridge Police Department for processing. Young was taken to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center by Dorchester County EMS for treatment. Young was released from the hospital following treatment. 

Following an initial appearance before a Court Commissioner, Young and Randall were handed over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections without Bond. 

The charges against Young included Assault 2nd Degree, while Randall was charged with Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment, and Dangerous Weapon Intent to Injure.
