CITY OF SALISBURY HIRES CHRISTINE CHESTNUTT AS HOUSING & HOMELESSNESS MANAGER

Salisbury, MD - The City of Salisbury has announced the reappointment of a familiar face, Christine Chestnutt, as the new Housing & Homelessness Manager.

Having served in the role enlighteningly from 2018 to 2022, Chestnutt has accumulated over a decade of seasoned experience in management, leadership, and effective program implementation. Her proven success in steering community projects and propelling organizational growth speaks for itself.

Chestnutt's past roles have seen her handling homeless services and permanent supportive housing programs, leading diverse, efficient teams, and successfully acquiring funding to support vital housing initiatives.

She has also established a strong rapport with community stakeholders, consistently advocating for the unsheltered population, and providing adept leadership during critical junctures.

Expressing her delight at her return, Chetnut said, "I am honored to return to the City of Salisbury to continue our work in helping the unsheltered population. Anne Street Village was my biggest dream, and I am grateful for the opportunity to return and see it come to fruition. I look forward to working with our community partners to facilitate sustainable solutions and support for those in need."

Chestnutt's latest role will permit her to lead dynamic initiatives, including the admired Anne Street Village. This initiative is committed to offering housing and valuable supportive services to Salisbury's homeless residents.

Utilizing her unparalleled expertise in grant management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement, Chestnutt will be a valuable asset in advancing the City's work in tackling homelessness and enhancing housing accessibility.
