CAROLINE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE IS INVESTIGATING A WEDNESDAY SHOOTING AT THE SAVE A LOT GROCERY STORE

Greensboro, MD - On February 12, 2025, at around 3:40 PM, Caroline County Sheriff's Office dispatched deputies to a shooting at the Save a Lot Grocery Store, located at 13263 Greensboro Road, Greensboro, Maryland.
Upon arrival, investigators examined various pieces surveillance footage, which provided them with an overview of the incident. The footage showed some type of altercation taking place near a passenger vehicle parked in the corner of the grocery store's parking lot.
As the situation rapidly escalated, one individual was seen fleeing the scene with another giving chase. The pursuer was armed and discharged several rounds from a handgun.
Following the gunfire, the assailant made a quick exit in a dark-colored passenger car, heading north on Greensboro Road. The other person was observed walking away towards Whitelysburg Road.
The individual who was the target of the gunfire was picked up from a location not too far from the incident, before the arrival of the law enforcement officers.
This disturbing incident remains under active investigation. The Sheriff's Office is appealing to the public for any information they can provide or if anyone can identify the individual in a photograph they have released.
