CAROLINE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE INVESTIGATING A SATURDAY EVENING SHOOTING

Ridgely, MD - The Caroline County Sheriff's Office is investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred at the Daysprings Apartment Complex on Saturday evening in Ridgely, Maryland.

As first reported on the Eastern Shore Undercover Facebook Page, on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at approximately 8:16 PM, deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff's Office, along with troopers from the Maryland State Police (Easton Barrack), were dispatched for multiple shots being fired at the Daysprings Apartment Complex. Upon arriving at the location, law enforcement officers found evidence of the shooting and an adult male who had suffered a gunshot wound to his hand.

The victim was taken to Kent General Hospital to tend to the non-life-threatening injuries he had incurred during this unfortunate event. The case is being investigated by detectives at the Caroline County Sheriff's Office's Criminal Investigation Division.

The Maryland State Police Crime Scene Unit assisted in the investigation, collecting and protecting any physical evidence that could support this ongoing investigation.
