CAMBRIDGE TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DRUG ARREST ON PINE STREET

Cambridge, MD - The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) made a drug arrest on the evening of February 15, 2024, following a traffic stop on Pine Street. 

At approximately 9:25 pm, CPD officers initiated a traffic stop on Pine St, in the area of Moores Ave, due to a vehicle equipment violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 59-year-old Cambridge local, Darrian Timothy Fosque.

Cambridge Police were assisted by their K9 Unit, which conducted a 'free air sniff' of the vehicle. The K9 unit positively alerted to the presence of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), subsequently leading to a thorough search of the vehicle. 

A search of the vehicle resulted in the finding of several prescription pills, later identified to be Oxycodone and Percocet.

Fosque was issued criminal citations immediately following the discovery and was subsequently released.
