CAMBRIDGE POLICE WARN OF HOSTING UNSANCTIONED GATHERINGS WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION

Cambridge, MD - On the evening of Saturday, April 19, 2025, Cambridge police officers were called to Gerry Boyle Park at Great Marsh to manage an unsanctioned gathering of approximately 100 people, which was causing significant disturbances in the area.
While the officers were able to disperse the event, the crowd moved to various parts of the city, prompting additional police efforts to address the ongoing disruptions in residential neighborhoods.
The Cambridge Police Department reminds residents and visitors that any events planned within city limits must first receive authorization through the designated application process.
The department emphasized that unauthorized events will not be tolerated, and enforcement of relevant laws will be strict.
