Cambridge, MD - A narcotics investigation led by the Cambridge Police Department's Proactive Community Engagement Team (PACE) has resulted in a significant seizure of illegal drugs.

On December 13, 2024, detectives from the Cambridge Police Department, working tirelessly to eradicate illegal drug activities, executed a Search and Seizure Warrant at a local residence in Cambridge, Maryland.

This came as a result of a month-long detailed narcotics investigation by PACE. This operation saw the arrest of 33-year-old Adrian Lamar Rideout, a resident of Cambridge, MD.

The search and seizure resulted in a significant seizure of illegal narcotics and related materials, including:

  • Approximately 1,050 grams (2.3 lbs) of Cocaine
  • Approximately 29 grams of Crack Cocaine
  • Approximately 27 grams of Heroin
  • Packaging materials indicative of narcotics distribution
  • 30 Oxycodone Pills
  • 15 unknown type pills
  • Multiple cell phones
  • Cash in United States currency

Rideout faced numerous serious charges, including CDS Possession Large Amount, CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute (Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Heroin), CDS Possession Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Heroin, Oxycodone, and CDS Possession Paraphernalia (3 counts).

Following his initial appearance in front of a District Court of Maryland Commissioner, Rideout was detained by the Dorchester County Department of Corrections without bond.

This successful operation was made possible in part due to the support from the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network (MCIN). The Governor's Office of Crime Prevention and Policy (GOCPP) played a substantial role in equipping MCIN with grant funding and strategic assistance.

The collaboration between local police departments and state-level organizations, through data sharing, aids in identifying, disrupting, and dismantling criminal organizations, contributing to a safer Maryland for all.

Knowing that our city's guardians are working tirelessly to disrupt the menace of the drug trade should give residents a greater sense of security and reassurance. It's through such dedication and hard work that we are making Cambridge a safer place for everyone.
