CAMBRIDGE POLICE MAKE AN ARREST FROM MONDAY'S CEDAR STREET STABBING

Cambridge, MD - On February 3, 2025, at approximately 4:31 am, officers from the Cambridge Police Department were dispatched to the 500 block of Cedar St following reports of a stabbing.

Upon their arrival at the scene, officers found a 41-year-old man riddled with multiple stab wounds on his arms. The victim was discovered on the front porch of a house located in the vicinity.

Dorchester County EMS promptly arrived at the site and began ministering first aid to the victim. Subsequently, the victim was air-lifted and transported to the Shock Trauma in Baltimore for more intensive medical care.

The investigating officers traced a blood trail at the scene, which led them to another house on the same block. After making contact with the occupants of the house, a 32-year-old female identified as Ronae Lanise Jackson from Cambridge, MD emerged as a suspect in connection to the stabbing.

Jackson was placed under arrest and transported to the Cambridge Police Department for a more extensive investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division (CID).

In a turn of events, upon conducting a search warrant at Jackson's residence, the detectives recovered a knife, which is suspected to be the weapon involved in the crime.

Jackson was turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections without any bond.

Jackson faces multiple charges, including first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure, and tampering with physical evidence.
