CAMBRIDGE POLICE INVESTIGATING SATURDAY NIGHT SHOOTING THAT LEFT ONE PERSON INJURED

Cambridge, MD - On Saturday Evening, September 28, 2024, the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) was alerted to a 'Shot Spotter Alert' at around 8:59 pm for multiple gunshots in the 1000 block of Pine St in Cambridge, MD. This incident was initially posted on the Eastern Shore Undercover's Social Media pages as a breaking news post.

While the officers were en route, they received another call concerning a gunshot wound victim in the 600 block of North Drive in Cambridge, Maryland.

Upon their arrival, officers found a 27-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. Dorchester County Emergency Medical Services were quick to respond, rushing the victim to Tidal Health Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland, for treatment of the injuries, which were said to be not life-threatening.

In addition to the person who was shot, three vehicles were found damaged by gunfire. A chilling reminder of the terrifying incident lay scattered around the crime scene - numerous spent handgun shell casings, spent rifle caliber ammunition, and several bullet projectiles, painting a grim picture of what had transpired.

This shocking incident has sparked an intense ongoing investigation by the Cambridge Police Department. The department is diligently working to piece together the details of the crime and is urging the community to assist with any information relating to the shooting.
