CAMBRIDGE POLICE CHARGE ZAKEE RASHEED CAMPER JR WITH 1ST DEGREE ASSAULT
Cambridge, MD - On April 9th, at 11:57 am, Cambridge Police Department (CPD) officers arrested 22-year-old Zakee Rasheed Camper Jr. from Cambridge, MD. This arrest was made on an active arrest warrant from the Dorchester County District Court.
Camper had his preliminary court appearance and was then handed over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections. He is being held without bond.
Camper faces several charges, including:
- First-degree assault
- Second-degree assault
- Reckless endangerment
- Malicious destruction of property
These charges are in connection with an incident on April 3rd around 1 pm at the 5200 block of Galium Court. CPD officers were called to the scene due to an assault report.
The officers contacted the victim, who reported that Camper had assaulted them. The victim stated they were punched in the back numerous times, slapped in the face, and then dragged across the floor. The victim also reported being strangled by Camper, leaving them unable to breathe.
Based on the victim's statement, CPD officers petitioned for charges against Camper. This led to the issuance of the arrest warrant.
