CAMBRIDGE POLICE ARREST TWO SUBJECTS FOR BURGLARY AT LOCAL STORAGE UNIT FACILITY
Cambridge, MD - On November 2, 2024, the Cambridge Police Department arrested two suspects connected with a storage facility burglary. The two suspects were identified as Omar Eduardo Davila, 32, from Hurlock, MD, and Joshua Aaron Marshall, 34, from Cambridge, MD.
The Cambridge Police Department was alerted to the burglary at More Self Storage, located at 10 Washington St in Cambridge, Maryland, at approximately 2:15 a.m. Multiple Cambridge Police officers, including a K9 unit, were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers reported finding a hole in the roof, a chair underneath that hole, and a fresh cup of ice. This is what initially sparked suspicion of an active burglary.
Law enforcement officials utilized a Police K9 during this incident. Officers made warning announcements, with the threat of a Police K9 being released to search the unit. This led to the emergence of the two suspects from the storage facility.
Both Davila and Marshall were promptly arrested and transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing.
After the arrest, additional investigation revealed that 6 storage units had been burglarized. Various tools worth around $1,540.00 were also recovered at the scene. This evidence was crucial in supporting the charges against the suspects.
Both Davila and Marshall faced multiple charges, including Burglary 2nd Degree General, Burglary 4th Degree Theft, Burglary 4th Degree Store, Burglary 4th Degree Tools, Theft ranging from under $100 to under $25,000, and Malicious Destruction of Property.
After processing, both suspects were handed over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections with no bail offered.
