CAMBRIDGE POLICE ARREST TWO JUVENILES FOLLOWING BURGLARY INVESTIGATION

Cambridge, MD - The Cambridge Police Department investigated a residential burglary on February 25, 2025, which led to the arrest of two juveniles.
The victim of the burglary, upon noticing they were missing items, contacted the Cambridge Police Department, revealing that two shotguns and a jacket had been stolen from the property.
The detectives, in response, began an investigation which led them to two potential suspects in the local area.
Further inquiry into the case discovered that the suspects, identified as 15-year-old juveniles from Cambridge, were not new to the victim. The victim recalled their visits in November 2024 and January 2025, offering to undertake yard work and snow shoveling.
The juveniles were then spotted on February 27, 2025, near the ZipMart on High Street in Cambridge, by the detectives and promptly taken into custody by the Cambridge Police Department patrol officers.
A substantial breakthrough came with the discovery at one of the suspect's residences on Skinners Court in Cambridge, Maryland.
Police went to the residence and spoke with a parent/guardian of one of the juveniles. They were given permission to enter the residence and located the stolen jacket that was taken initially during the burglary.
This led to a search of the property under an search warrant that was issued.
The search revealed ammunition and firearms, including the two shotguns reported stolen by the initial burglary victim. The confiscated items included five boxes of .223 caliber rifle rounds, one box of shotgun shells, a Remington 870 Shotgun, an H&R Shotgun, and a .22 caliber Mossberg AR-15 rifle.
The juvenile suspects were subsequently charged with the following:
- Burglary 1st Degree
- Burglary 3rd Degree
- Burglary 4th Degree Theft
- Wear and Carry Dangerous Weapon
- Theft $100 to Under $1,500
The two juveniles were transferred to the Department of Juvenile Services Lower Shore Detention Center after processing at Cambridge Police.
