CAMBRIDGE MAN STABBED DURING ROBBERY; POLICE SEARCHING FOR TWO JUVENILE SUSPECTS

Dorchester County, MD - On May 10, 2024, at about 1:30 PM, the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) responded to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center, where a man with stab wounds was admitted to the hospital. The victim reported being robbed and assaulted near Race Street and Bayly Avenue in Cambridge, Maryland.

The man stated that he was returning from the Beverage Barn on Bayly Rd and riding his bicycle when he was tackled off his bike. The suspects, as described by the victim, are two African American males, approximately 12 to 14 years of age. They wore white t-shirts, blue jeans, black face masks, and zip-up hoodies.

The victim suffered a stab wound in the upper left chest area during the attack. His dark navy blue 21-speed Schwinn mountain bicycle with 26-inch wheels, an old exercise seat, and a gray Barbie doll basket was stolen during the incident.

The Cambridge Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is actively investigating this incident and seeking help from the community.
