CAMBRIDGE MAN CHARGED WITH DUI AND DRUG OFFENSES

Cambridge, MD-The Cambridge Police Department has arrested Trevon Williams, who is now facing multiple charges after an early morning incident on March 3, 2024.

Police officers responded to a call at 1:36 am on Hughlett Street, where the caller was reporting their property having been damaged. It was revealed that the suspect, Williams, had left the scene in a gray Dodge Charger.

As officers headed to the location, they spotted a car fitting the description on Washington St. After running the vehicle's tag, it was confirmed that the car belonged to Williams and that the registration was suspended.

A traffic stop was subsequently conducted on Cosby Avenue, where Williams was questioned. Upon interaction, officers noticed indications of intoxication and detected an odor of alcohol.

Williams, acting in cooperation, agreed to a Standardized Field Sobriety Test, which he failed. He was then arrested and found to have the controlled substance Ecstasy.

Following his transport to the Cambridge Police Department, Williams was processed and later released on citations.

The charges leveled against Williams include CDS Possession, Not Cannabis, driving on a suspended license and registration, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired, refusing alcohol/CDS testing, and failure to maintain required vehicle security, among others.
