CAMBRIDGE MAN ARRESTED FOR VIOLATING A PROTECTIVE ORDER

Dorchester County, MD - At 12:31 pm on October 24, 2024, officers of the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) arrested 69-year-old Abbott Junior Parks, a Cambridge, MD, resident. The arrest followed an active Dorchester County District Court Arrest Warrant against Parks.


After being arrested, Parks was taken to the CPD for processing, after which he made an initial appearance before a Court Commissioner.


Subsequently, he was transferred to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections and is being held on no bond.


The charges against Parks were for violating a protective order and inducing or inhibiting testimony. They emerged from an incident on October 23, 2024, at the Bradford House in Cambridge, Maryland.


According to the victim, Parks had contacted them and sent a threatening message after being served a Protection Order. The victim then lodged charges against Parks with the Court Commissioner, which resulted in the issuance of a criminal summons.
