CAMBRIDGE MAN ARRESTED FOR FAILING TO APPEAR IN COURT
CAMBRIDGE, MD - The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) apprehended Anthony Lee Henson, a 45-year-old resident of Cambridge, MD, on February 17, 2024 at approximately 1:54 pm.
Henson had an active Dorchester County District Court Bench Warrant issued against him and was taken into custody for this warrant. This warrant was issued as Henson had failed to appear in court on February 12, 2024.
He was originally charged with Assault in the 1st Degree, Assault in the 2nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment, and making an Arson Threat.
The warrant against Henson was a serious one given the nature of his original charges. Assault, particularly of the first degree, implies the act of intentionally causing serious physical harm to another.
Henson, however, was later released on his personal recognizance.
Personal recognizance is a legal terminology which implies that the defendant was released based on his promise to appear in court for all upcoming proceedings.
