CAMBRIDGE MAN ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY AND MDOP
Cambridge, MD-Authorities have arrested a man in connection with a burglary at a residence in the 200 block of High St in Cambridge, MD. The man, identified as Bryan Allen Parker (40) from Cambridge, MD, was charged with 4th Degree Burglary and Malicious Destruction of Property.
According to the report from the Cambridge Police Department (CPD), the incident occurred on March 16, 2024, at around 12:55 PM. The police were alerted about a trespasser on the property. Officers arrived at the scene and found that Parker had supposedly broken a padlock and a window on a shed within the property.
Maintenance workers notified the victim of Parker's presence on the previous day. Surveillance footage allegedly showed Parker on the property and entering the shed.
On the day of the incident, the victim received a message from Parker requesting coffee and stating his homelessness. The victim's dog became agitated with something outside, leading the victim to discover Parker inside the supposedly locked shed.
The victim, who denied giving any permission for Parker to be on the property or inside the shed, confronted Parker from a second-story balcony, which resulted in a threatening response. Parker allegedly drew out a knife and threatened to harm the victim.
Officers later located Parker around the nearby Zip Mart location. The victim positively identified Parker as the suspect, leading to his arrest and subsequent processing at the Cambridge Police Department. Parker was later transferred to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections without bond.
The incident remains under investigation.
