CAMBRIDGE MAN ARRESTED AND HELD WITHOUT BOND FOLLOWING
Cambridge, MD - On the evening of July 2, 2024, at around 7:33 pm, officers from the Cambridge Police Department were dispatched to a reported burglary. The victim of this crime was found injured and in distress, having suffered blows to the head.
The perpetrator was subsequently identified as 33-year-old Tyree Devon Bryant, a resident of Cambridge, MD. Bryant had forcefully entered the victim's home and physically assaulted them, causing them to fall to the ground. The assault continued, with Bryant reportedly hitting the victim multiple times in the head.
Shortly after the incident, thanks to a detailed description provided by the victim, Bryant was located by another Cambridge Police officer in the 700 block of Race St, where he was taken into custody without incident and transported to the police department for processing.
Following his initial court appearance, Bryant was handed over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections, where he was held without bail.
He will face the following charges:
- First-degree assault
- Second-degree assault
- Reckless endangerment
- Home invasion
- Second-degree burglary
- Third-degree burglary
- Fourth-degree burglary
