ATV AND DIRT BIKE CRASH UNDER INVESTIGATION IN TALBOT COUNTY

Talbot County, MD - The Talbot County Sheriff's Office is investigating a serious motor vehicle crash that occurred on May 10, 2024, at approximately 10:45 PM. The crash involved 2 ATV/off-road vehicles at Black Walnut Point Road and Spinnaker Way in Tilghman, MD.

Responders from the Talbot County Sheriff's Office located a four-wheeler and a dirt bike with severe front-end damage on the roadway. Paramedics from the Talbot County Department of Emergency Services and members of the Tilghman Island Volunteer Fire Company were at the scene administering medical care to two patients.

The victims were identified as 21-year-old Hayden Lee Wilson and 20-year-old William Preston Jones, who are residents of Tilghman, MD, and Neavitt, MD, respectively.

The preliminary report indicated that both vehicles were in the roadway at the moment of impact, both suffering significant front-end damage.

Both Wilson and Jones were airlifted and transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, MD, by Maryland State Police helicopter for further treatment.
