ATTEMPTED ROBBERY INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY IN SEAFORD, DELAWARE

Seaford, DE - The Delaware State Police are currently investigating an attempted robbery that occurred early Tuesday morning, March 18, 2025.
According to reports, the incident took place around 12:56 a.m. near Concord Road and Sussex Highway in Seaford. The victim, a rideshare driver, reported the attempted robbery to Troop 5 in Bridgeville at approximately 2:47 a.m.
The investigation revealed that the victim was transporting two unidentified white females when he stopped at a red light. At that moment, an unidentified Black male suspect exited another vehicle, approached the victim's car, and leaned inside in an attempt to steal the victim's belongings. During the attempt, one of the female passengers restrained the victim from behind.
A struggle ensued between the victim and the suspects, but ultimately, all three perpetrators fled the scene without taking any of the victim's property. Fortunately, authorities confirmed that the victim was not injured during the incident.
The Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit is overseeing the case and is requesting public assistance. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Detective D.
